Sort your last fifty quotes by how long they took to send and the pattern shows up immediately. The sample shop wins 61.5% of same-day quotes and 12.5% of the ones that take over a week — a 4.9× spread — and it sends half of them slow. Getting those to the 1–2 day rate is worth $93,600 a year on the same leads, the same prices and the same crew.
How it works
- The Speed Bands — your last fifty quotes in four speed bands with win rate and revenue per band. Your own history, not a statistic from somebody else's industry — and it usually shows that the win-rate problem is a scheduling problem
- What Slow Costs — the slow bands re-run at the fast rate, per fifty quotes and per year. The estimate is deliberately conservative: it uses the SECOND-fastest band's rate, not same-day, and it's still enormous
- The Same-Day System — why quotes are actually slow (quoting has no scheduled home), the daily quoting hour, the flat-rate book that turns calculation into selection, the range you give while still standing there, three templates instead of a blank page, quoting by photo, and the one number to log for a month
